Silk Collagraph

Scenes from my studio door.  Close up of leaves and berries.

  1. Hi Just come across your blog and found this post would you be so kind as to explain the process of silk collagraph... It sounds interesting and I'd like to give it a try..

  2. Hi silk collagraphs are fabulous! It's part of the non toxic printmaking wave. Essentially it's a way to have etching quality safely and easily. You start by adhering silk screen fabric to plexiglass with black paint. Then you paint with a mixture of white paint and gel medium building up the whites. When dry you print with a traditional intaglio process. The results are beautiful and rich!
    have fun!
